- Bushfire attack level (BAL) assessment reports, to determine construction requirements for new buildings
- BAL contour maps to determine best location for buildings to reduce costs of construction
Bushfire reports for planning permits
We prepare reports and advice for planning permit applications in the Bushfire Management Overlay (BMO):
- Bushfire planning report for single dwellings in existing settlements (Pathway 1)
- Bushfire planning report for all other buildings and works (Pathway 2)
- Bushfire planning report for subdivisions (Pathway 3)
Bushfire reports for simplified planning permits
We supply bushfire management plans for streamlined planning permit applications in the BMO:
- Construction or extension of a single dwelling in Schedules to the BMO
- Construction of non-habitable outbuildings (shed, garage or similar)

Our principal consultant has a 25-year career in environment, land management, research, and local government planning. She specialises in bushfire planning applications in rural conservation zones, green wedges, and residential areas. She has contributed to state policy reviews for bushfire planning, green wedges, biodiversity, and native vegetation regulations.
